Christmas season is the ultimate festive and joyful season of the year! It is without a doubt my all time favorite moment I want to  share with friends and family, have some delicious food around a fireplace, create a festive ambiance in your house, and celebrate the love, and all the blessings we have in our life.

First things firsts, we are talking Home table decoration… Home is the soul of our life, the place we find shelter to, live happy or sad moments but it is above all a place where we identify with our personality and where we create memories.

Creating memories with friends and family often occurs at a table around a special meal at home…Here are some simple tips to get you going with a simple yet lovely decor for your house and your guests:

  1. Always start by setting up the mood…and that is music! For the holidays go for a jazzy Christmas playlist that will feel fun and festive but not overly overwhelming…my go to are Diana Krall xmas album, Michael Bubble, Nat King Cole and Tony Bennett…
  2. Candles…Whether it is lunch or diner I always light up lots of candles…it just creates a cozy warm feeling, gives some romantic energy, the smell just ads an extra feeling and at night gives a magical feeling to a room….
  3. Flowers! Any type of flowers depending on the vibe you are going with…white or red, or even greens…you don’t need to go big on a budget, even branches all put together in a vase will just give a fresh element to your table and living room decoration…
  4. Table linens, plates, glasses and any tableware accessory that look good put together, again, no need to go big on budget, there are so many alternatives nowadays with Zara home, etc…if you have a beautiful wooden table, I love to see it and place the plates directly on it, of course a simple cream or beige linen will also do the trick and give warmth and texture too…in order to decorate your plates during the holidays, simple tricks like small red apples, firecrackers, or tree ornaments on your plate will just instantly make your table more fun and elegant!
  5. Personality…Don’t be scared to go all out…A table can be out of the ordinary…you can even place gifts, pictures, quotes or anything that will have your guest talking or start a conversation…
